When we come to read the bible, our minds are often preoccupied with anxieties about the day or thoughts about what we need to do. The Apostle Paul exhorts us not to "worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel." (Phil 4:6-7, CEV)The following short meditation creates a space to allow God's peace and life-giving waters to come and calm our thoughts and prepare our hearts to receive from Him:-
